FIFA World Cup FIFA World Cup 2010 is the 19th major international soccer tournament held in South Africa. This year's World Cup is the first time held in an African country. South Africa was elected as the organizer in May 2004, defeating Morocco and Egypt in the process of the draw is only open to African countries.
