China Car Jacks Indonesian Automotive Sales




inilah.com - Year 2010 will be a landmark year homeland automotive industry. The presence of new products and new brands from China is predicted to boost Indonesia's automotive sales up again in the figure of 600,000 units, unchanged from 2008.
President Director of PT Indomobil Sukses International Gunadi Sindhuwinata, recently revealed that the Indonesian economy is predicted to rise 5.5% to 6% next year, automotive sales in 2010 will again rise in the range of 560000-600000 units. In addition, the certainty of 22 brands of cars participating in the arena of Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2010, June-July 2010 to make the auto industry re-excited.
Based on data from Indonesian Automotive Industry Association (Gaikindo), carrying 48 329 units of cars and commercial vehicles were sold during November 2009, up 4.8% over the same period last year. Compared to October 2009, sales decreased 7.5% during November, where auto sales in October was recorded throughout the 52 226 units.
Passenger cars such as Toyota Avanza and Daihatsu Xenia will still dominate automotive sales in 2010. Both cars are on average MPV during January-November 2009, recorded sales respectively between 5000-8000 units per month.
